Lady Liberty

Lady Liberty is a 3 year old flashy sorrel filly with a flaxen mane and tail that shimmers like copper! Standing at a stout 14.2hh, this filly embodies the essence of the Smokey Valley Breed. Sired by the renewed Maverick stallion, Lady Liberty carries his legacy in her natural gait and likeable personality

Lady Liberty, like all Smokey Valley Horses, has a large motor. You will fly down the trails on her leaving friends and family in the dust all while she maintains her rhythmic, natural, 4-beat gait. She is wicked fast, a horse we like to say is a ferrai you put your saddle on! Even with her speed, it never compromises the smooth comfortable ride she offers, making her a dream for riders who crave a thrill! She is very forward and requires no encouragement from her riders to move out, she has total enthusiasm for the trails ahead. We do not put ourselves in the category of a "trail horse" Smokey Valley Horses are more thrilling and athletic than that. Our horses perform the best in performance trail riding and endurance riding.

Her personality is like no other, Lady Liberty is exceptionally friendly and is a total "in your pocket" kind of horse. She loves human interaction and it's very easy for her to bond to a rider who is of her caliber.

Lady Liberty is best suited for the intermediate and skilled rider. This means a rider who has a solid foundation in horsemanship, comfortable with controlling a horse's speed and direction and confident in handling a forward moving mount. An intermediate rider should be skilled at maintaining balance through varied terrains, capable of clear cues and experienced enough to manage a horse of Lady Liberty's caliber. While she is not a beginners horse due to her drive and responsiveness, she's a perfect match for someone with these specific skill sets!
