I’m beyond proud of Smokey Valley War Paint’s incredible win! This amazing horse conquered a challenging endurance race, outpacing Arabians with a controlled 1/4-mile start and averaging 10 mph over 12.5 miles, even with stops for water. The trail was tough—lumpy, bumpy, with prairie dog holes and fierce Arabian competitors —but War Paint stayed focused, despite a horse ahead kicking and bucking. Performing his signature 4-beat gait and running walk strategically to maintain pace. At one checkpoint, I learned that we were the first horses seen that day—a thrilling surprise! Smokey Valley War Painy pulsed down first, securing 1st place, and earned all A’s from the vet! Back at the trailer, he ate, drank, and rested happily with healing wraps on, proving he’s a true endurance star from Smokey Valley! ❤️
